With some exceptions, it is held in the end of September. A large number of interesting excursions and gatherings are a part of the Gathering. For Mensa members, there is accommodation provided on discount, while others pay a registration fee. We often have guests from other national Mensas at the Gathering, so in 2023 in Poreč, there were Mensa members from Slovenia, Switzerland, Italy, Serbia, France, Ireland, etc.

Depending on the location where the Gathering is being held, there is a free organized group transportation by train planned for all members of Mensa based on a discount we have with Croatian Railways.

The region where the location of the Gathering is held is different every year. In recent years, we were in Poreč, Duga Resa, Vinkovci, Duga Uvala (Istria), Starigrad, Paklenica, Bol on the Island of Brač, Baška on the Island of Krk and Opatija.

In Poreč in 2023 for the first time more than 100 people, 110 to be exact, participated in one Gathering.
